Zamil Offshore Services has launched recently ‘Zamil 63' offshore multi-purpose vessel in a big celebration under the auspices of the Director of the Saudi Sea Pos Authority Engineer Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Tuwaijri. The new offshore multi-purpose vessel is designed to meet the highest international standards. She was built at Zamil Shipyard located inside King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam; Zamil 63 is the largest offshore support vessel of its kind to be built in the region. It is 65.4 meters in length and 14.8 meters in breadth. She is equipped with latest state-of-the-art satellite navigation and control systems. The ship is intended to serve Saudi Aramco's offshore production platforms and drilling rigs in the Arabian Gulf. The ceremony also included the keel laying for 10 new vessels, ‘Zamil 64' sister of ‘Zamil 63' and 9 port service vessels; 6 vessels for Ras Al-Zour port and 3 for Dammam Port.
