Zamil Offshore Partners with Ribcraft

Yet another milestone achieved emphasizing the continuous support towards realizing Saudi Vision 2030. Zamil Offshore and Ribcraft are signing a strategic partnership to establish a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) building facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The partnership is built on the strengths of each company, to combine Zamil Offshore’s position as the premier shipbuilding and repair services provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with Ribcraft strong brand name and heritage as a leading global builder of custom and production rigid inflatable boats, towards providing the marine industry with Best-in-Class solutions. This partnership is set to establish a workshop base at Zamil’s Dammam Shipyard facility, providing building, assembly and complete services to the rigid inflatable boats under a new brand name “ZAMIL RIBCRAFT” of which will be “Designed in UK, SAUDI MADE”.

Ribcraft is unique as a global manufacturer offering high standard customizable rigid inflatable boats in that all designs and construction for the entire craft are built in-house at purpose-built facilities. Ribcraft offers a wide range of models from 3.5m to 14.0m, with a variety of options and configurations for every application. Whether military, professional, commercial or leisure purpose, every RIB is built to the highest commercial standards.

Under this partnership, Zamil will be manufacturing RIBS under license at its current Dammam facility to serve the Middle East market. This is aligned with Zamil’s strategic goal of being the One-Stop-Shop solution provider to marine industries clients and stakeholders, upholding the local content upon this latest addition to a new solution in Zamil’s portfolio that empowers the company’s position in supporting a fundamental pillar of Saudi Vision 2030. 

Nasser Al Hazzani, COO of Zamil Offshore  and Toby Adams, MD of Ribcraft have set their hands together and signed the agreement in at the World Defense Show “WDS” in Riyadh.

The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is the Kingdom’s defence sector regulator. Zamil Offshore is licensed by GAMI to engage in various defence activities, including manufacturing, services, and trade. GAMI’s regulatory oversight and policymaking efforts act as the key enabler of such strategic localization partnerships.
