Our update indicates that our teams in Zamil Shipyards located in Dammam and Jeddah have been extremely busy year to date by docking over 160+ OSV and commercial vessels. In addition, since our last update, 8 MODU’s and Liftboats have visited and departed our Dammam facility for medium to large sized MRO projects. All projects were completed on budget, on schedule and handed back to our valued Clients with world class safety statics for the assets to continue operations. Meanwhile, our team have successfully managed to deliver several projects ahead of time, as reflection of a major milestone representing our consistent developments.

Zamil Shipyard introduced another new business unit within its portfolio “Offshore Fabrications Unit.” Aiming to play a key role in satisfying the increasing demand and setting up a new milestone in supporting local content and boost IKTVA rating. Furthermore, Zamil Shipyard have been awarded a contract by Subsea7 Saudi Arabia to execute the FIRST-EVER FABRICATION PROJECT of Pipe Spools, Risers, J-Tubes and Riser Guards at its premises.

During this period, several strategic partners were identified and signed up in our ‘’Partners for Success’’ strategy which further expands our turnkey marine services portfolio. Additionally, Zamil has created yet another new business line by launching a new Rigid Inflatable Boats “RIB” building business at our shipyard in Dammam. Our new composite boat building facility is geared toward building a wide range of fully customizable professional models from 4.8m up to 12.5m, serving the professional, governmental, commercial and leisure markets using the highest standard materials to satisfy the growing market demands.

This update clearly demonstrates our strength as the key industrial player driving strategic alliances in Saudi Arabia, thus enabling Zamil Shipyards to enforce its position as the most reliable and trusted shipyard in the region in full support of Vision 2030. The outlook for the next 12 months is strong with many Clients already booking space for ship and rig repairs reflecting the steady improvement in the Oil & Gas market in the region.
