Zamil Shipyards and Subsea 7 Saudi Arabia Strengthen Ties to Contribute to Developing Saudi Aramco Marjan Offshore Field “Package 2 – Fabrication of Subsea Spools”

KSA, King Abdulaziz Port-Dammam, 14th June 2022 - Zamil Shipyards is proud to maintain its rapid growth in supporting local content and playing a key role in its continued support to Saudi Aramco’s Offshore Projects. We are pleased to be awarded a contract by Subsea 7 Saudi Arabia to execute the FIRST-EVER FABRICATION PROJECT of Pipe Spools, Risers, J-Tubes and Riser Guards at its premises.

The contract with Subsea 7, a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services, will support Saudi Aramco’s projects and development plans.

Marjan increment project was awarded in different packages by Saudi Aramco in 2019 to multiple EPCI contractors to increase Marjan and Berri oilfields’ production capacity, are targeted to award 50 percent of the contracts to Saudi Arabian companies, increasing the share of locally sourced materials, equipment and capability.

Accordingly, the contract between Subsea 7 Saudi and Zamil Shipyard will go towards supporting Saudi Aramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value-Added Program (IKTVA) goals.

Mr. Nasser Al Hazzani “COO – Zamil Offshore” and Mr. Yann Cottart “Middle East VP – Subsea 7” signed the contract in the presence and witness of Mr. Mohammed Al Qahtani “General Manager Offshore Projects – Saudi Aramco” and Mr. Badr Burshaid “Program Director – Saudi Aramco” at the Zamil Shipyard facility in Dammam.
